Reboot Hot Chick Stuff

Description

Reboot stuff I did for some site contest -- the website itself was difficult to post and navigate, and it was fan vote thing (my least favorite way of doing things -- ), but I thought I produced some nice stuff from it.

Which brings me to my major complaint -- whenever a company does one of these things, they generally never revisit the original material -- "Let's just use the names and screw the original material!" All the treatments had no reference points to the original material, so avoided all the rules and structures and previous stories. Again this is my personal issue. Imagine "Firefly" or "Serenity" done by someone who just bought the name and decided it would be much cooler, if The Captain and Zoe were together and the Shepard Book were a gangbanging rapper, and everyone else were Ninja's -- because that's popular or new or cool. Not to say change is bad, because chaining a character or story to certain historical elements -- like Tony Stark to the Vietnam Police Action, dates a character, or superhero comics to traditional racism (New Frontier -- since there were no Black heroes in comics then, there won't be any in the movie or graphic novel, but lets change Hal Jordan's back story and his relationships and Wonder Woman and Superman and Batman and Martian Manhunter and Flash and King Farraday, but NO BLACK SUPERHEROES, because that goes against the historical record of the comics) is a cumbersome thing, especially if you are trying to mine new ground.

But at least knowing the history would give one a framework for the treatment, instead of starting from whole cloth or some computer story you had sitting on your computer and "hey it would work for Reboot" even though it is nothing like the series. Glad I cut it short huh!
